Hello >> World.
I know it has been awhile since my last contribution. I should be more regular but am so busy. Really, I am nutty busy.
Anyway here is a little something I found randomly surfing last night.
To see what all the fuss is about is this crazy clip.

Left<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>Right

When I was 16 and heading to the DMV to take my drivers test, I had a dilemma. I didn't know left from right. I still don't. When I think about it and reflect on the hand I write with, I can work it out. It takes a second, really; but it's not automatic. Usually this wouldn't get me into trouble. I would know which direction I wanted to go, I read maps easily and with good spatial awareness.
I knew I was a good driver: no problem with the written part or most of the driving. In fact, parallel

I thought I might try and give myself a clue. I guess others might have tied string to a finger. In the last minute I grabbed my Sharpie from my bag (I was a small time tagger, who always had a marker in my bag.) I printed on the far left side of the car's dashboard a pretty little L. That was the trick that worked. Of course the test turned out to be a breeze. (I do remember now as I write this that the official who rode with me was a woman who was pregnant. That kid must be close to 30 now.) The L stayed on the car, Sharpies are permanent.

Posting now - more than ever.

I put this review on Amazon for a friend's band called Blame Sally. The title is a play on the song title Put the Blame on Mame, from the film noir classic Gilda.
Put the Blame on Sally, July 31, 2007
By Richard (SF) -
Blame Sally has been a band I've listened to for a while. The songwriting and the fun of their live shows drew me in. Great vocal harmony, lush music accompaniment is their signature. In Severland (2007) they deliver a rich collection of work that introduces you to the whole ensemble. Like the Beatles' Revolver or The Eagles' One Of These Nights, Severland is many different voices and stories coming together in one album that you can play over and over. Plenty of good songs to sing along with, in particular Fillmore Street, Moth to A Flame & Trouble. These songs get me hopping. If you get a chance to see them in concert, it's a good bet. Don't thank me just Blame Sally (D'oh!).
(I appreciate Amazon as a portal for information and purchasing things online; but also encourage you to shop at your local record shop, if you still have one.)
Here is a video of a song from the album,"If You Tell A Lie".
(I'll remove this if asked)

Two moments in time
Today of course is Hiroshima Day. [Hiroshima Peace Park ]
The day in 1945 the US dropped a bomb called "fat boy" on the sleeping people of Hiroshima in an effort to make peace. (A clue to the ways of peace in America)
Anyway as I contemplated the date - 8/6/7 - a very somber occasion, this silly thing occurred to me.
[Here we go again with the crazy date numbers.]
Next month on my (grandmother's birthday) at some point it will be -
9/8/7 6:54:32:10, twice of course।

What type of type am I?

Today I am working with a few problems, those related to the end of the Summer term, the upcoming Fall schedule and next Spring's 2008 list of classes that still has to be thought up. As the program coordinator for the Multimedia Studies Program & the Digital Media Production, both at SF State's College of Extended Learning, I have my hands full.

Why owls? They scare pigeons and as someone who is a little shy of pigeons, I'm impressed. Owl was a tolerant friend of Winnie-the-Pooh. When I was super young we had this idea my mother was fond of these sentinels of the woods. So, on Mother's Day or a birthday we'd get her owls: carvings, pictures, pencil sharpeners, etcetera. Then one day she mustered the nerve to tell us she had grown weary of all these birds. Ever since then, I sometimes wonder if those people who fill there lives and rooms with unicorns or pictures of Elvis are just afraid to speak up and say something for fear of not getting anymore gifts at all. Everyone knows me as an Owl Person, so I must be one. I have fallen into a few types in the past, myself.

I was more Marx Brothers fan than Stooges fellow. I was an Alternative Rock person. I call myself an Omnivore. I'm still a No-Mushrooms-Person. I'm a lefty, I'd like to be called quirky, funny, hard to understand. In elementary school my bad grades came with the evaluation: "He asks good questions".
That's it for now. Got to attend to my job, which at this point does not include this. Thanks for reading. -- rs
